Welcome to The Kozy Kafé
Hi, I’m Liz, and welcome to The Kozy Kafé, my K-pop and J-pop blog! Pull up a chair and grab a warm drink. ☕
I’m a corporate girlie by day and a writer by night, and this little café is where I finally get to talk about my slightly quirky interests: my years-long K-pop and J-pop obsession, the Asian dramas I’ve casually loved for over a decade, and the romance books I can’t stop reading. My romance picks lean closed-door and low spice, though I’ve had a soft spot for some dark romance before. You’ll probably catch me rambling about a Western show or movie sometimes, too.
What you’ll find here
Mostly listicles: playlists, rankings and other fun lists. There will also be reviews, recommendations and plenty of rambling, because I can’t help myself.
A little note on what you won’t find
Because of my faith, I’m trying to be more careful about what I consume, so this blog will mostly steer clear of very graphic, highly explicit or deeply occult content. When something I talk about has mature moments, I’ll flag it with a content note so you know what to expect before you press play or turn the page. I hope that makes The Kozy Kafé helpful for anyone with similar convictions, and for parents looking for music, shows and books their kids and teens can enjoy.
What I’m into right now: my current top 5
- “Kiss N Tell” by aespa: one of my recent obsessions. I keep coming back to this song over and over.
- “My Turn to Cry” by EXO: I listened to this at work recently, and it has been living rent-free in my head ever since.
- Limerence by H.C. Dolores (currently reading, ADULT READERS): I picked this up after seeing online that it’s not super explicit for a dark romance. I could be wrong, so I’ll report back once I finish! Content note: It does include some dark and potentially triggering themes.
- Memoirs of a Geisha (movie): I’ve rewatched it a few times lately and forgot how much I surprisingly enjoy it. Content note: there’s one sex scene, but nothing is really shown, with no nudity beyond shoulders and back, plus some conversations that hint at sex and virginity. Otherwise it’s mostly tame.

- Speed and Love (C-drama, currently watching): it has some genuinely cute, heart-fluttering scenes, but I’ll be honest, around episodes 12-14 it’s starting to feel a little cringe… Stay tuned to see if it wins me back.
Thanks for stopping by the café. I can’t wait to share much more with you.
